Chapter 1: The Suit He Never Got to Wear

My wife destroyed the suit I had spent three months sewing and told me not to attend my daughter's wedding.

"Her biological father will walk her down the aisle.

You'll only embarrass us."

I had raised Sabrina since she was one year old.

I paid for her schools, university education, and the entire $15,000 wedding.

Still, she looked at my callused hands and said her biological father represented the family better.

That night, I overheard the three of them planning to mortgage my home and workshop, transfer the money, and disappear.

They thought I was too weak to stop them.

I quietly opened the safe my wife never knew existed.

Inside were the original deeds to both the house and the wedding venue.

Everything belonged to a trust controlled solely by me.

Then I checked our bank accounts and discovered the betrayal had started months earlier.
