Mom's voice cut through the entire ballroom.
"You're going to embarrass this family in front of everyone?"
I didn't raise my voice.
"I'm not embarrassing anyone, Mom.
I'm running a business."
Tyler was still holding the menu card.

One hundred fifty people in formal wear staring at three slices of beef.

He straightened his jacket.
Reached into his inner pocket.
And pulled out his phone.
Mom stopped screaming.
Because he wasn't calling anyone.
He was reading something.
Something on his screen that made the color drain from his face.
He looked at Megan.
"Who is Marcus?"
---
What Tyler found on that phone changed everything about this wedding — and this family.
